Traditionally Christmas stands for joy, peace and goodwill to the whole world. It is celebrated in different ways in different countries but for all, it is a festival that means joyful singing and colourful celebrations.
Shiv Ashish school believes in celebrating all the festivals so that the children understand the meaning and significance of all festivals and come to know about the specific customs and traditions that are associated with that festival.
Christmas carols were sung by choir. The vibrant music ushered in the festive celebrations. The meaning of Christmas in spreading the light of love was brought home to the small children by a simple gesture of turning to the neighbours and saying, “ I am a light. You are a light. We are lights for others”.
The school was decorated with the brilliant colours and for the senior children a skit was performed with a far–reaching message that it is easy for temptations of the evil and wrong things to lure youngsters, and then hold them in their clutches.
The group dance performance was good and appealing, conveying the message of Christmas.
Christmas is never complete without the cheerful ‘Santa’. Yes, Santa in his bright red attire was present at Shiv Ashish singing and dancing and distributing sweets.
As Mr.Deepak Guru our Maths faculty observes. “This celebration is an investment for the future, as these children will have a broader vision”.
